Fees and Insurance

Fees:

My rate is $225 per session for individual therapy

I am currently have openings for new clients for self-pay and out-of-network sessions.

For clients who want to use their Out-of-Network (OON) insurance benefits, I partner with Thrizer

Autumn Leaves

Thrizer is a platform that simplifies the out-of-network reimbursement process by:

  • Submitting all out-of-network claims on your behalf.

  • Clarifying your exact deductible and reimbursement rate.

  • Directly depositing your reimbursement once the deductible is met.

  • Giving you the option to pay only your co-insurance (similar to copay) for our sessions.

Methods of payment accepted: HSA/FSA, credit card or debit card, check or cash.

Health insurance can be confusing. If you have questions about out-of-network benefits, or about your health insurance in general, I'm happy to assist you.

Sliding Scale:

I do offer sliding scale options for those who are low income, underinsured, or do not have health insurance. I believe health care and mental health support should be accessible to all. If I cannot accommodate you or my sliding scale spots are full, I can provide you with other referral resources.

Insurance:

I am passionate about making therapy accessible. I reserve a dedicated portion of my practice through Headway for those with insurance, and another part for clients who are self-pay.

At this time my insurance-reserved (Headway) openings are at capacity. I would be happy to add you to a waiting list and notify you of the next available insurance opening, or, we could explore using your out-of-network benefits if your insurance plan offers them.

Cancellation Policy:

I ask for 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. There is a cancellation fee (that is not covered by your insurance) if you provide less than 48 hours notice for cancellation. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you when we make an appointment.

Good Faith Estimate:

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes the expected cost of your therapy sessions.

My practice will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first service. You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
