How I Work

Waiting Room.jpg

I am passionate about working with complex and intergenerational trauma, addiction, and loss (including animal companion loss). I also enjoy working with those who are exploring their gender, or sexuality, are first generation or children of immigrants, are creative, or struggle with anxiety, depression, relationships, anger, or multicultural adjustment.

I am trained in EMDR, somatic approaches, and other treatment strategies. I work collaboratively and flexibly with clients to help them identify their wishes for therapy. We move through the experience in a way that respects one’s unique nature.  I don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach to treatment, and I’m interested in knowing what works and feels right for you.

I also utilize a harm reduction/motivational enhancement approach when a person comes in wanting to explore certain behaviors or decisions that may leave them feeling confused or frustrated, and I invite clients to incorporate their cultural or spiritual practices that support their healing process.

Finding a therapist that feels like a good fit is a very personal process and it is vital to one’s experience in therapy. How you feel in the room with your therapist, how they listen and respond, how they answer your questions - all of this is important information for you. Trust your intuition and take your time in your journey of connecting with a therapist that is right for you.

If you think we may be a good fit, or you’d like to get more of a sense of how I work, please feel free to reach out to me on the contact form below. We can also set up a free confidential 15-minute consultation call.

*I work with adults, ages 18 and up.
